Does get me into EWR mode. If forced to try to book Hogan in that era the only plausible way I could see making it work would be Vince bringing Hogan in as his hand-picked corporate guy. Have him keep the 5 o'clock shadow from his Hollywood look but go back to a red and yellow color scheme and play it up by having Hogan be thoroughly confused as to why everyone now hates him.

But even after all of that, outside of the obvious "print money" Hogan/Austin match you're left with Hogan being awkwardly shoehorned into a ton of Attitude Era feuds and surely it would be terrible.
