Yeah he has no sources in WWE anymore. I think his big source was possibly Bruce but I don't really know for sure. I guess it could have been Patterson as well, that would make a bit of sense because since Pat died he's really had nothing.

Meltzer only stated that it was a rumor going around backstage that a second wave was going to happen and possibly yesterday.

Usually whenever WWE does releases, its either in multiple waves close together or its one big wave with some trickling afterwards and NXT rarely being spared.

Last year's mass release took several days to a week to finish.

He still has sources but way less from the wrestlers side since they've mostly went to Fightful during the past couple years. Fightful even took over the late Casey Michael's role as being the go to outlet for wrestlers in NXT.

WWE thought they had a checkmate over the dirtsheets when they allowed talent to feud with Meltzer on Twitter without realizing the rest would just move on to other sheets outlets to leak news since Fightful and others were not on their blacklist.
