On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talks about the incident and he reports that Kalisto was indeed injured and that he took himself out of the match. Gran Metalik quickly jumped in and took over for Kalisto and the match continued.
Regarding the spot where Kalisto exited the match and Gran Metalik took over, Metlzer said, “So Kalisto suffered a knee injury in the match and he just kind of got off the apron and then Gran Metalik got on the apron.”
