The sight gags during the action scenes were tits.

Peacemaker casually hatcheting that wounded soldier was world class. His game of one upmanship with Bloodsport was the sort of brilliantly aware touch that the first film sorely lacked.

You are probably right about it being the most greatly improved sequel ever made.
I would have to find a property so bad they should have binned it who’s sequel was literally perfect and I don’t think that film exists.
