Pretty sure crawling away would lead to him turning around and begging off.

Speaking of Flair flops, my favorite was when he would take ten head slams into the turnbuckle from the babyface, but then give himself like five more unassisted, then stagger to the dead center of the ring and flop. It's one of those things that would be phony as fuck with ANYONE else, but Flair got away with it and made it awesome because he's fucking Flair.
