Capcom reveals a collection set is planned to celebrate Resident Evil's 15 Year anniversary for the PS3 in Japan.
All of the games are getting upscaled to PS3 resolutions but also only use PS1/PS2 as the source instead from versions with better quality.
Quote:
-Resident Evil Directors Cut (PSX)
-Resident Evil 2 (PSX)
-Resident Evil 3 Last Escape (PSX)
-Resident Evil Revival Selection (PS3)
-Resident Evil Code: Veronica soundtrack
-Resident Evil 4 soundtrack
-15th anniversary items: Pins & Stickers (STARS & Umbrella)
-Spacer for PS3′s Resident Evil 5 or Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition
-Spacer for PS3′s Resident Evil 5 or Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition
The set is said to be going on sale sometime in September and will come with a price tag of ¥7,800, which is roughly $97 American.

The set will not include Resident Evil 0 due to Nintendo owning rights to the game, any rail-style games, or spin-off games such as the Survivor series due to Capcom shutting off the servers for the series. Also not included is Resident Evil 4 which is getting a separate HD upscaled version set for release later this year.
As of now, Capcom did not give any news if the anniversary collection will be available on other systems or if the collection will be released in other regions. If other systems do get the set, it is expected to be different for each system.

Quick News Round-Up:
1) The tension between EA and Valve continues as EA updated all of their upcoming digital download games list and each game on the list has Steam left off with Battlefield 3 to be the recent to drop Steam. At the moment, the tension is high enough that neither company is willing to have talks or negotiations to end the situation.
2) Uncharted 3's developer Naughty Dog is very worried that their game's multiplayer could be completely overshadowed in terms of actual players and potential sales due to Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 being released around the same time.
3) Based on some early reports involving the upcoming Windows 8 O.S., Microsoft is planning to allow Xbox 360 games to be playable on a PC without the need for an actual Xbox 360 to be plugged into the PC.
