Roy Keane and Liam Miller are both Corkmen. They'd know how to fight dirty, street brawl style.
Djemba looks like a hard nut too. Heinze is a 'tinian, so he probably has a few dirty tricks up his sleeves. It'd be a good old fight. Arsenal would have a good team for a fight, since they have a lot of black players and black people are better at fighting, and even Pires is a really big fella for a flair player. |
Pires is a big girl. Out of Arsenals players, you forgot to mention their hardest player...Jens Lehmann, that guys <s>an angry Nazi</s> physcho,
Thats why I like Drogba, he prolly aint hard, but being big and black makes him look scary. I was thinking Djemba is probably hard, but he is no match for Makelele or Vieira. |
Quote:
Funny how Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo squared up to them and they ran like girls. And Giggs and Ronaldo are hardly what you think of when you want hard men on your team. |
Quote:
|
Pires is a pretty big fucker. He's about 6'2" or 6'3" and pretty tight with it.
|
Arsenal women are probably more butch that Pires.
|
I disagree. I think Pires could do a bit of damage. Freddy Ljungberg and Edu would let the side down.
Reyes is small, but he's got a psycho temper. |
Quote:
But they say you can tell alot about a guys thoughness from his hand shake, and Makelele has a solid hand shake, and is well built, I woudn't fancy my chances against him. If I could be bothered I would find the pictures from last season, of RvN looking like a pussy, and Lauren making Phil Neville shit himself. Plus Arsenal didnt run when Giggs and Ronaldo came. |

Tell that to Che Guevara.

I would if I knew who he was :$

Just got back from the game, and a draw was a fair result. We had the better chances and efforts (Nalis' shot off the bar :'() but after the sending off they had all the possesion but didn't create, with the exception of a Harewood chance one-on-one which was saved by Walker , they were restricted to long range shots.
Didn't really see what Dublin did to be sent off as it was across the other side of the pitch and the players had their backs turned. Brevett was booked for that and his challenge late in the game on Scowcroft probably deserved another yellow. Also after all their complaining about Harewood playing wide last year i'm not sure the West Ham fans will be happy to hear that Rebrov was forced to play there and drift into the middle on a few occasions. |
Edu looks quite tall and he could probably handle himself, he's no pussy.
Gilberto Silva would let the side down though. I saw him on that footballer's diarys show and in his spare time he plays some gay little guitar thing, the woman. Kolo Toure wouldn't get involved either, he'd just go and grab Wenger to try and help break it up. And ive got a feeling Ashley Cole would pull a knife or something the dirty little cunt. Roy Carroll looks like he could hold his own too. Also, Leeds looked poor today. I didnt think they'd go back up, but if they dont improve they'll definatly stay down. Derby were poor also. |

On a different note, bloody Australian TV couldn't get the rights to the Com Shield .
Looks like a long night of listening to the bloody BBC world service . |
Murphy to Spurs?
|
Looks like it. In the Express, they are saying Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid for Man United on a Bosman at the end of the season.
:D |
That would be pretty decent Rob for the Mancs. Drools at prospect of Van Nistelrooy and Ronaldo.
|
Have my doubts about it though.
|
Wow, Arsenal kinda shat all over United
|
Well he did learn English years ago with the hope of playing in England one day and he said he wanted to play for us after he got a standing ovation at Old Trafford two years ago when he scored a hat trick against us so I think it's a possibility.
|
I think we've managed to go backwards from last season. I didn't see much yesterday to fill me with excitement.
|
I seem to remember Ronaldinho saying he wanted to play for Man U as well...
Blech, today was shite. Beaten by a good goal and an atrocious penalty decision. We didn't start playing until the 2nd half though and the defending badly needs sorting out (Jo Lescott  ) If anyone really wants to do me a favour you'll track down Lee Naylor and shoot him  |

Fu</>ck it, I'd kill him then :p The guy is like 3 inches smaller than me and probably a good 2 stone lighter and Sunday league football is 10 times 'harder' than nancy boy Premiership football. |

lol at the thread turning into football wars or some shit.
Our teams full of ex Leeds racist/dirty bastards so we could hold our own. After that though we have fuck all and would get beaten down :(. |

Lee Hughes has been found guilty of causing detah by dangerous driving and has recieved a 6 year prison sentence. Thats West Brom down for sure next year.
|
Disappointed but not too upset about the community shield result. Man U were missing several key players and were clearly thinking of the Champions League game by taking Giggs, Keane and Scholes of quite early.
|
the last team to win the charity shielf and the league was us in 96.
The last time (i think) we lost the charity shield and had to play a qualifier for the CL, we ended up winning it. It'd be nice if that happened again, but i doubt it :'( |

Danny Murphy's move fell through.
I hope we go for him if we dont get Carrick. He was one of the players i said id like in that thread a while back. |
am i the only one thinking liverpool should rip madrid's arm off for 10m + morientes/eto'o for owen?
Owen is utter utter toss these days. |
Commercially, Owen can make more money for Liverpool than Morientes/Eto'o considering how massively popular he is, and Owen is likely to score goals if he gets the right service from the players.
I reckon Morientes would easily fit into British football, but Eto'o would take quite a while considering when you take into fact what players like El Hadji Diouf and Joseph Desire Job have done in England. |
If this stuff about MAdrid handing Liverpool 10 million plus Morientes is true then Liverpool should bite their f****** hand off. Morientes is a much better player than Owen and I would definetly trade.
|
It will be a real shame if Solskjaer has played his last game. The guy will go down forever as a legend.

I didn't think Murphy had signed.
Arsenal no longer want Carrick Repka is getting in trouble with the popo for harrassing a 46 year old bloke. LOL. |
Francis Jeffers went to Charlton too. I always said Wegner is a genius when it comes to sales in the transfer market. How the hell did he manage to get £2.6 million on this turd?
|
Good deal for Charlton with signing Murphy
|
Quote:
Good deal for Charlton too I reckon - Murphy that is, will have to wait and see for Jeffers. |
Well played Liverpool too - Gerrard was oustanding.
And bye bye Michael  |
yeah but Wenger paid like £9,000,000 to buy him in the first place. Surely it would've been better not to waste all that money in the first place :$
|
FUCKING LEEDS :'(
|
Michael Owen didn't play tonight... Real Madrid deny wanting to sign him, like they did with the previous two galacticos they signed (Ronaldo and Beckham)... Bye Bye Michael
|
Comeon the Gas.
Junior Agogo is the man. |
Ronaldo could be heading back to Italy in January though, otherwise i doubt they'd sign Owen. If Liverpool get Morientes and £10 million that would be a good deal, gives them some money to buy a better right midfielder.
Sheepshaggers tonight. COME ON LEICESTER |
3-1 to Sunderland
Elliott got his first goal  |
Ronaldo said he'd like to play at united some day, i think.
Which is nice. |
Ronaldo says he'd like to play for everyone some day.
He'll go to Chelsea. Pay day. |
I'll bet anyone here that if he comes to England, it's not to Chelsea.
|
Quote:
|
Wanna put a tenner on it then?
|
On Ronaldo going to Chelsea IF he comes to England?
The only reason he wouldn't is if Abramovich leaves during the season, I am pretty sure otherwise, when Ronaldo leaves Madrid he will be Chelsea bound, like ECG said, he will get an even fatter pocket. I'd gladly stick a tenner on it. Speaking of which, for all your betters out there, check this: www.sportingindex.com, after your first 5 bets are settled you get a free £100 bet, after your next 5 bets are settled you g et another free £100 bet. hot shit. |
Ronaldo said it after we gave him a standing ovation coming off after raping us, or more specifically crappy fabien barthez in the CL

Shelbourne held Deportivo to a 0-0 draw.
|
Yeah fair play to them amazing result. It'd be rediculous if they got in. They'd dominate the Irish leauge forever with the money.
Tomorrows papers are full of Vassel to United for 5-7 million. I'd be happy to see him go if we use the money to up our bid for Beattie. |
Beattie is a fat fuck. Seriously, if he wasn't so fat and lazy then it would probably be okay for him to be so arragont and cocky all the time. I couldn't believe it in person, he had a cracking rack.
And its not just me saying this because he's a useless scummer cunt, its the scummers saying it too about their own player. If you pay more than about £6,000,000 for him, you're wasting your money in today's market. Atleast Vassel gets in the England squad. |
True Vassell does get into the England squad but by all accounts he shouldn't he rarely produces for Villa and Beattties supposed asking price of 8 million seems allright. Allthough I'm confused as to how we had a 6 million bid turned down yet sold them Crouch for 2 million earlier in the summer. Surely would have made more sense to have done a deal for 6 and Crouch
|
Why would you pay £8m for Beattie when you already have Angel?
|
Because a Beattie - Angel partnership is better than a Angel - Vassel one.
|
Unrelated fact - Ogen and myself have the same birthday.
|
I would stick with Vassel. They're taking the piss asking for £8,000,000. He wants to go, just unsettle him by making a few more offers, he'll hand in a transfer request and their chinless wonder of a chairman will sell him, just like he did with Bridge.
Or offer Allback and £4,000,000. But seriously, he's not worth £8,000,000 the fat sulky arrogant cunt. |
Allback wouldn't clinch it with 4 I wouldn't say. I'd say the least we're looking at is 6-7 with a player.
|
you're getting ripped off if you offered 7 on its own, let alone with a player. He'll leave soon though, trust me. He's unsettled and wants to leave and if you, Charlton and whoever else keep up the interest, one of you will get him. Although thinking about it, £6,000,000 and Allback sounds fair.
|
I agree with RBF here, he's not worth £8 million really and there are probably better strikers available for less.
Beat the sheep 2-1  Benjamin has turned into the man since returning from Brighton. |
Beattie and Angel are too similar IMO, signing Beattie would take away a lot of the goals that Angel scored last season.
|
Beattie may be a lazy b****** but when he gets a half chance then he can usually score which makes him an asset to any team. He ain't worth 8 million pounds but he is a decent player.
|
Good result for Man U last night. Just get them back to Old Trafford and finish them off.
|
yeah but he's fat, has stupid hair, has a gay face and a stupid accent. He's an alright target man, but like Adam already said i dont think he'd work well with Angel.
|
Owen to Real Madrid seems certain to go through but for £8 million and a player, thought to be Nunez.
What are Liverpool on here? :| They were getting £10m and Morientes before and even if he's out of the deal then they should be getting more money aswell as Nunez, because Morientes is clearly the better move for Liverpool and probably a better player of the two. |
I think Angel and Allback would be our best partnership.
Liverpool should ask for someone like Guti. |
