Kezman

El Capitano Gatisto 12-04-2004 10:45 AM

Cheeky fella, that Kezman.

packt up 12-04-2004 12:07 PM

Chuh we were the better team up to half time. Then they blew us away in the second half pretty much. Kluivert was a non entity but the midfield can be proud of themselves. Even Dyer.

Mr. Monday Morning 12-04-2004 12:59 PM

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO have it Reading :cool::cool::cool:

LIIIIIILIAN

won 2-0 at Leeds. COME ON

The Mackem 12-04-2004 06:10 PM

Beat for the first time this season at home 2-0 West Ham. Caldwell got sent off right on half time. West Ham scored in the dying seconds when we were trying to equalise :'(

WHAT A GAME. Bringing that fat lump Gudjohnsen off for Drogba really made the difference, as did Kezman being on the pitch. At half time I was pretty nervous about the second half, then Drogba showed he is the man and WOOOO, Kezman finally bagged one. He has been superb for us and I have never seen someone deserve a goal more, he has been so unlucky. To try a cheeky chip when he was under pressure to score shows how much of the man he is.

 at Newcastle fans chanting "What a waste of money" to Drogba, tossers.

Bit annoyed to see Robben dive twice, he should have been booked for the second one. Rob Styles needs to learn what advantage is and that if the lino flags an offside and he waves play on then he is a tit for then bringing play back 20 seconds later when the team lose the ball, besides that he was shit today anyway, fucking tosser.

Rob 12-04-2004 09:20 PM

I stand by my title.

Forlan took way more abuse and he didn't have anywhere close to the minutes on pitch Kezman has at the same point.

Dazz 12-04-2004 09:27 PM

Like most things you say, I would dispute that, Harvey.

From what the duck tells me, Forlan would often be dire all game, even if he scored he would still do nothing else in the game. Kezman works fucking hard and has been unbelievably unlucky.

Wengerland 12-04-2004 09:31 PM

On the rumours, Zagorakis has been linked with Barça  doubt it will come off.

Tevez has joined Corinthians :| He could have chosen almost any top European club.

Rob Ban Fan 12-04-2004 09:47 PM

Well im happy  We've got 5 tough fixtures coming up and i honestly dont expect us to get any more points this month so to be on 21 points already is good.

Stefanovic was unlucky with his own goal, he was stretching, he had to try and get it :( Purse...well that was just shit communication, what a shit own goal to score.

I have no idea what Matt Taylor was up to but he gifted them a 2nd goal which they took. I dont think they really deserved it mind...

Berko came on and turned the game for us with 10 minutes left, created 2 goals, the 2nd was a top finish by Lua Lua. It was awesome

Also, Chris Kamara was reporting for Soccer Saturday right near where i was sitting, Wengerland said he saw me on TV when Lua Lua scored !

Forlan also cost more.

Anyway, that's bollocks. And to prove it I checked over SportingLife.com's records of the last few seasons as to how many minutes each played in the league before they scored their first goal

Kezman: 1 goal in 458 minutes

Forlan: 1 goal in 790 minutes

So it's fair to say you're talking shit there Robert.

(if you're really interested he debuted as a sub away to Bolton Jan 29th 2002 and didn't score until October 26 2002 at home to Villa. He didn't score at all until a penalty against Maccabi Haifa at home on September 18th 2002)

Rob 12-04-2004 11:53 PM

Fair enough. Check how many full 45mins (not even 90) Forlan played in that time though. That's kinda where I was going but obviously worded it wrong.

So what the duck says goes now?

The only guy I have ever seen run more than Forlan is Paul Dickov.

Kezman is still shite

No, but I haven't seen much of Forlan, the duck has, he is more clued up then me on the guy.

Kezman is a Paul Dickov type guy, makes stupid challenges, gets stuck in, only difference is he doesn't then try and wind up the player, he gets up and gets on with the game. Ask any of your Chelsea supporting mates about Kezman, the guys work rate is fanfuckingtastic.

And nice one Kirk, I really couldn't be bothered to look up the stats (mainly because I didn't know where to find them).

£9.5 Million, good deal for corinthians though, seeing as how he was Boca's best striker. That free kick he scored for Argentina Vs Uragauy in Copa America was the shit.

The Duck 12-05-2004 11:02 AM

Rob, can you honestly tell me Diego Forlan was good enough to be a United player? He worked tirelessly all game, there's no denying that, but in sheer quality and technique the guy was clearly lacking. His distribution was, at times, appauling and his shooting was rushed and reckless. He was light-weight and if you compare his game to Smithy's or Rooney's the difference is laughable. As for the statistics, it is true he didn't make that many starts etc., but in my mind his goal tally wasn't what really pissed me off - it was his general match-play.

As for Kezman, the guy was prolific in Holland (as was Ruud) and now he's off the mark it wouldn't surprise me if he weighed in with a fair few goals. Goal-scoring is all about confidence and the guy undeniably had it yesterday to take that penalty in that manner.

On a side not, everytime I see Robben play I get pissed off a little bit more. That bloke should be a United player and Giggs' heir to the left-wing throne, but for the cretins on the MUFC board. :(

yianni 12-05-2004 11:30 AM

A Rivaldo goal from a free kick gave Olympiakos a 1-0 home win against bitter rival Panathinaikos in the first Athens derby of the season. Now hopefully both teams have successful results on Matchday 6 of the Champions League midweek and progress to the next round.

And you said him and Ruud were prolific in Holland, I'm sure you meant that Kezman was more prolific, :D.

Beauty of the cup in United/Exeter and Yeading/Newcastle

Danny Electric 12-05-2004 12:26 PM

Yeah
I would love it, really love it if Exeter won. I suppose you can dream.
I'm a bit wary of our trip to Burnley.

Mike the Metal Ed 12-05-2004 12:28 PM

A bit disappointed with being drawn against Blackpool again, we only played them a year or two ago. But it should be a fairly easy win.

The Mackem 12-05-2004 12:35 PM

Chance for revenge.

The Mackem 12-05-2004 12:40 PM

Were Arsenal first out of the hat? They are number 1 aren't they? Funny.

Wengerland 12-05-2004 01:08 PM

Can't complain about having Blackpool, if we weren't going to get a premiership club then i just wanted a fairly easy route through and Blackpool shouldn't be too great a challenge.

Hinckley away at Luton, if they win the replay :(
