I could get past the first few episodes. I think the bank scene killed it for me. Any time they were dealing with bad guys it felt like there was no tension.

Thats accurate. All the tension is interpersonal family dramaand the antagonist of the season. Everything else is tongue and cheek

Now that the season has wrapped up, I'm checking out the "Gen V" spinoff.... was "skeptical" of a spinoff, but the first episode got me good. Will be continuing with it.

Four episodes/half a season in.... really enjoying it. Not as good as The Boys due to lack of a grade A villain like Homelander, but it really fits in with "The Boys" universe.

Finished up the season... liked it... pretty much an X-Men story.

Not sure I understand or get the ending.... Maybe they will explain it more in season 2...

Honestly with how long it's been between season 3 and 4 I've pretty much lost all interest in this show. I'll still watch season 4 when it hits but I think they lost a ton of whatever momentum they've had with this.

Plus that dude from the Gen V spin-off show just died so that show's probably indefinitely paused while they figure out what they're doing with that

Writing not as tight as the first 3 seasons. Still good though IMO.

Last episode got a bit too blatant with the old “woke people are boring bastards” theme but it was pretty funny. I said at the start that the show was mocking the woke crowd rather than embracing them and I’m glad to see it proven by a female on male rape scene that openly mocks the Starlight/The Deep assault from season 1.

Every interesting character is a complicated bastard, as it should be.
