That 'studio' is Brianna Wu and she likely pulled out because of recent criticism over her game Revolution 60. Despite getting greenlit on Steam it has been torn apart by gamers due to it's quality. She was expected to present the game at Pax but I guess reality ensued.
The press release her team offered put cops on blast despite numerous instances of them looking into the threats and finding them non-credible. There is also no evidence of the threats originating from a gamer let alone GamerGate, which her prior beef with a lunatic before GG supports. Note; she has been caught twice sending threats to herself. Very disappointed in how Dtoid went with this. And no, this shit is not GG related. |
