Cena is the only one who should ever be considered to beat the streak. His run at the top is ridiculous right now. Has anyone been the top guy in the company as long as he has? Bruno maybe?

Also, the streak shouldn't end. WWE would be throwing money away by the buckets. The match itself, and Taker only wrestling once a year, is a massive draw. In a generation where "attractions" like Andre the Giant types, who you only see for a very short period of time and makes the appearance special, throwing the only true special attraction away and dumping the money with it, is not a smart business move.

#1-norm-fan 04-06-2014 02:16 AM

That's why you don't end it until he's absolutely done.

As soon as he's ready for that last match though and there is no more Taker streak matches to be had, you end it with a loss and you get arguably the most memorable moment in wrestling history out of it in an era where memorable moments just don't happen anymore.

Taker's still got the streak as a big part of his legacy (23-0 doesn't cease to have ever existed just because he lost a match in the end. The streak still happened and the DVDs, etc. still get released) and his opponent, the business, the fans and he himself get a once in a lifetime moment out of it that we'll likely never see the opportunity to have again.

Crippla 04-06-2014 05:28 AM

Bottom line, Brock Lesnar should not be the one to end the streak in my humble opinion. Just doesn't seem fitting but it could be worse.

James Steele 04-06-2014 10:13 AM

Because Lesnar beating the streak is dumb. They are going to have John Cena do that or cheat in order to turn him heel and beat the streak. It'd give Cena another 10 years.

What does seem fitting?

My idea isn't for Brock to end it clean anyway, my idea is for Undertaker to get screwed, preferably by CM Punk.

I don't want to see the streak end after a hard-fought match, finisher/pin. I want to see a colossal effort, everything someone could possibly do to end it. Brock Lesnar + cheating + CM Punk w/Heyman would work in that department. It's certainly believable for people who don't believe in magic that Brock Lesnar would beat Undertaker in a real fight, it's certainly conceivable that an aging Undertaker could lose to a man he's lost to before (in a cell no less) who is a former UFC World champ and an all around badass. Casual fans could buy it without the interference.

I just want it to be dramatic and awesome. There's very little drama in Undertaker beating Brock Lesnar clean at Wrestlemania XXX. So many people just assume that's what's going to happen and it's a pretty damn boring scenario altogether.

theexample 04-06-2014 11:17 AM

It should have been Papa Shango challenging the streak.

Shisen Kopf 04-06-2014 11:26 AM

Lou Gehrig's disease should end the streak

weather vane 04-06-2014 12:11 PM

It may end but it wont be Brock who does it...

Swiss Ultimate 04-06-2014 12:37 PM

That's unfortunate for me, because I don't care to see Undertaker against anybody else. Cena and Sting as opponents to me are uninteresting.

:/

theexample 04-06-2014 01:21 PM

Imagine if this year had been Taker vs Bryan. Who would the crowd be behind?

DAMN iNATOR 04-06-2014 01:58 PM

Undertaker's Annual WM Schedule

Arrive
Send Victim To Hell
Leave

Tanawesome 04-06-2014 02:07 PM

Ending the streak now would be pointless. The Undertaker is in no shape to "avenge" the loss. Maybe if he were younger and could still perform on a more consistent basis. Not now though.

lol

Swiss Ultimate 04-06-2014 02:31 PM

The point is to piss off the fans, in my estimate. Piss 'em off right good.

Swiss Ultimate 04-06-2014 09:56 PM

so happy right now, I just want all of you to know you're fucking retarded.

I wish it was because of CM punk though.

Tanawesome 04-06-2014 10:00 PM

Well I'll be damned...DTTS called it. Well played sir! Hats off to ya!

Swiss Ultimate 04-06-2014 10:06 PM

I love you Tanawesome. Never change.

Seriously though, I only partially called it. If CM Punk had come out I would have creamed myself and not in orgasm either, the kind of surprise ejaculation you get when you've had a traumatic injury.

whiteyford 04-06-2014 10:12 PM

Witch!

Razzamajazz 04-06-2014 10:14 PM

i'm already cringing at the crying that will take place the next couple days

Tanawesome 04-06-2014 10:21 PM

As much as I wanted Taker to win, some of the crowd reactions were hilarious

whiteyford 04-06-2014 10:25 PM

The good thing to come out of this is that now they can't rely on the Streak match next year, one main event down.

whiteyford 04-06-2014 10:27 PM

And the audience was amazing.

Savio 04-06-2014 11:24 PM

I'm waiting for the yearly "Michael!....." video

JimmyMess 04-06-2014 11:32 PM

the crowd was so stunned it was crazy.

Let's all take some time out to point and laugh at this fucker.

Swiss Ultimate 04-07-2014 12:32 AM

I laughed at him not knowing for sure that the streak would end. It's wrestling man, they can do whatever they want.

#1-norm-fan 04-07-2014 12:39 AM

And he laughed at you. He laughed at all of us. For being retarded.

#1-norm-fan 04-07-2014 12:40 AM

Period.

Swiss Ultimate 04-07-2014 12:44 AM

Which is why he's going to kill himself now. Honestly, we should probably stop posting in this thread. It's going to be evidence in a police investigation.

Psst, dude, please don't kill yourself. Being wrong is something that happens.

Swiss Ultimate 04-07-2014 02:02 AM

I can't wait to see how badly the fans boo Undertaker. I bet he'd get booed in Canada right now.

Sepholio 04-07-2014 10:22 AM

There was that one guy apparently right next to the camera who kept yelling BOOOOOOOO and YOU SUCK when Taker couldn't get up at the endof the match.

I was totally hoping he would look up and Sting would be at the entrance pointing at him with a baseball bat.

Swiss Ultimate 04-07-2014 11:13 AM

LOL I said Undertaker getting booed when I meant to say Lesnar. What's going on with my brain?

It won't happen in any year. Reason: no one deserves to break the streak, not a single wrestler on the roster deserves it, and I would not trust anyone to get that kind of push, and to stay with the company. What happens if they break the streak and the next year they leave, or go on drugs, ect.... No worth the risk. And why not let the taker retire undefeated? What harm would that do?

Fact is, the streak will never be broken, and shouldn't be broken, period.

lol no idea who that is but god bless his fluffy cotton socks

Heisenberg 04-07-2014 01:08 PM

That was a cool shock moment last night, I'm still amazed that the Deadman went down at WM. They should've had a moment where all the souls left the Undertaker and returned to the caskets. Would have been fresh Mortal Kombat stuff right there.

whiteyford 04-07-2014 02:26 PM

The thing I like about Brock ending the streak is that he's generally the argument given about not being able to trust a young talent not to leave and squander the rub, I like the lol factor to that.

Razzamajazz 04-07-2014 06:51 PM
