Gentleman Jack is easily one of the most legit bad asses in WWE.

GD 01-28-2019 02:59 AM

His heel turn has certainly been disappointing. He was so over during the CWC and I miss watching his unique repertoire.

So Brock puts on a match that was pretty much nothing but an f5-athon (mania 34), the crowd shits on the match. He comes backstage and throws the belt at Vince. Hmm, maybe if your matches had more substance than 2 moves the crowd wouldn't shit on them so much? Just a thought.

Droford 01-28-2019 11:33 AM

I'm not sure why they needed to have the match when Lesnar and Rollins already faced off before. The whole point of last night was to show off a pipsqueak like ballor could hang with him

The clip above is from the Lesnar\Reigns match. Apparently Shane confronted Lesnar about it as well.

Only clapping for that match should have been relief it was over, suplex f5 f5 f5 f5 superman punch spear over and over. A total of 4-5 moves repeated constantly between the 2 of them. And Lesnar being annoyed the crowd shit on the match is hilarious.

Damian Rey 2.0 01-28-2019 04:53 PM

I don't blame him for being annoyed. Lesnar has shown countless times he can put on a good show when the match is well put together. He's had a good match with Reigns. Whoever decided that match should be them kicking out of each other's finishers a billion times should be fired.

Supposedly the reason for his reaction is due to Vince throwing out everything that was planned for the match the day of the show and wanting Lesnar to win which pissed off Lesnar, Reigns, and everyone else who worked on the match.

Vince McMahon is the promoter/head booker of WWE. He produced years of television programming to attempt the goal of audience manipulation. This stifled Brock and others creatively in order to support that goal. When you get to WrestleMania, the audience had already made up their mind before Brock even walked out there. Brock did tremendous work in 2017 -- with AJ Styles, in the Fatal 4-Way and did the best he was allowed to with Joe. I would be pissed off too if I put my star in the hands of a guy and it fucks up like that.

When Hunter pedigreed him at Mania, and ten seconds went by, and got the 3 count, I legit turned my TV off and stopped watching wrestling for about 4 years.

Savio 01-28-2019 10:49 PM

I don't think Booker should have won but I also don't think there should have been any racial overtones in the build up.

Poor taste, but not quite as bad as Jimmy Hart using Watermelon and Women to entice Kamala to join the First Family.

Or Lawler telling Kamala he was going to "wet his lips and stick him to the wall" a few minutes later.

Or the existence of a character named Kamala the Ugandan Giant.

Or a guy in a Klan Hood hanging Virgil by the neck.

Or "the watermelon angle."

Either WWE told him to take down the tweet and/or something else is going on with Lars at the moment.

Lars also locked his account afterwards as well.

The tweet was allegedly from his "social media representative."

Mr. Nerfect 01-29-2019 12:19 AM

Jesus Christ, this Lars stuff is not good. Mental health is a serious thing and all, but I don't know how a performance company can put that much stock in a guy that doesn't have a handle on it, you know? I wouldn't fire him or anything, but I certainly don't think he can be depended on in a role where routine, keeping up a schedule and appearing in front of large crowds all the time is absolutely vital.

Mr. Nerfect 01-29-2019 12:43 AM

Someone I was just reading suggested that Bryan is putting together a group of former NOAH guys. While I don't think that is the case, that would certainly be a more interesting way to take things than Bryan simply hijacking The Wyatt Family.

Samoa Joe and Cesaro are former NOAH guys on the SmackDown roster. Hideo Itami and Nigel McGuinness are on 205 Live. Kassius Ohno, War Raiders, Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong are in NXT.

Take out Strong & O'Reilly, who are a tag team in NXT and doing fine. The War Raiders are doing their own thing. Joe seems "too solo" for the act. Cesaro is with Sheamus. That leaves Itami, Ohno and Fish to join Bryan. I can imagine Ohno there in a flannel as a person who was ravaged by cheeseburgers. Itami & Ohno as a tag team could be pretty sick, actually.

I think Ohno has the character and move set to fit in compeltely with the Bryan stable.

The racial overtones are why Booker should have won.

If Booker was going to lose, chill with the racial shit and have a different finish. The whole "People like you don't beat people like me." and then...you beat him is awful. A pedigree, clean, then a full 10 seconds before you're pinned is also an abysmal finish.

It was shit all around. All that redemption build, all that racial shit, just to have Hunter go over in lazy fashion. I still feel the same way now as I did then.
