It's like they watched an old black and white movie with a moustache twirling villain and based some of their mannerisms off it. There's very few reasonably decent talkers in wwe today because everything is written for them word by word, instead of giving them more free reign with certain bullet points to mention.

Why not? Why work for someone that supports things you apparently stand so vitriolically against? I guess something stops being a bad thing when it's your camp that does it. Nice moral integrity there.

Dude, no one paid to see Dolph Ziggler in an IC Title match. No one. Just because you were put in the main event on the night of the show does not mean that you were the reason all those people attended. And be careful what you wish for re: people not spending money if they're not that interested.

Current rumor going around the net regarding the Universal title match at SummerSlam.

Voices of Wrestling reporting Vince/WWE is currently leaning on Lesnar retaining the title against Reigns.

Place I read the rumor made no mention of Braun so its possible he either doesn't cash in or also loses to Lesnar.

This little conspiracy theory I got running in my head for a while may just pan out.

I honestly think Vince McMahon and Dana White got some sort of super secret/quiet agreement in place that Brock Lesnar is gonna go to UFC as WWE Universal Champion.

Braun winning MITB is more-or-less a "break glass in case of emergency" type thing if Roman wins and things go sideways fast. But I don't think the fans will like Braun cashing in and losing to Lesnar……...again.

Of course, this all depends on Lesnar sticking around with WWE. I think his deal is over sometime after Summerslam. Unless I missed the tidbit that the re-signed.

I can understand not taking the belt off Brock if he's not going anywhere. If that happens, I hope Heyman babyfaces Brock with a promo earlier in the night. Stop denying people a hero. Heyman could so easily turn Angle's promo on its head.

Exactly. Rollins will speak out when someone criticizes the appearance of a fellow female employee, but he won't speak out even "equally" as much against his employer who agreed to perform in a country that won't pay your fellow female employees for the performance and won't allow your fellow female employees to attend the performance, let alone actually appear or perform? This theme is awful but it does suit their gimmick.

I can't help but think that "Go, Go, Go" should have been their first theme, then after winning the titles, their new theme should have been "Battlescars".

I find that a bit weird as they don't usually delete theme videos.

They still have the themes of Big Cass, Enzo, Neville and Austin Aries for example.

So I started watching a bunch of WCW Worldwide/WCW Pro episodes from early 1997. Tony and the Brian are on Worldwide commentary, but my new favourite announce team of Dusty Rhodes, Larry Zbyszko and Chris Cruise are on WCW Pro. They are like watching a car crash.

Just a heads up that my post contains some NXT TakeOver spoilers from last night.

Anyway, with Shayna Baszler losing the title last night and with Trish Stratus being announced to face Bliss, I get the feeling that Bliss will retain at SummerSlam and Baszler will debut on the main roster either tonight or tomorrow on Raw.

I've noticed a bit of a trend recently with NXT Champions and SummerSlam or WrestleMania. The champions seem to debut on the main roster not long after losing their championship before either SummerSlam or WrestleMania.

It happened with Almas, Roode, Ember Moon and it sort of happened with Nakamura and Bayley but they debuted on the main roster after they lost their rematch, which wasn't that long after they lost their titles, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Baszler turn up really soon.

To me, I don't see why Bliss vs Stratus would happen if their wasn't a reason to watch. If Bliss loses to Rousey tonight, then the match at Evolution would just be "Bliss vs Stratus" and that's it. However, if Bliss retains, the WWE would hype it up as "The five-time and current Women's Champion, Alexa Bliss vs The seven-time Women's Champions, WWE Hall of Famer and one of the best female superstars of all-time, Trish Stratus".

It would be seen as "The Past vs The Future". It would give people more of a reason to watch than if it was just "Bliss vs Stratus".

So with that, and Baszler losing last night, I can see Baszler playing a roll in Bliss retaining, which would mean we would get a Rousey/Baszler feud because of it and Bliss still champion and hyping up her match was Stratus.

I said this theme was awful and it kinda is, but it has been stuck in my head since I post it here.

So I found out today that Tri.Moon, the guy who makes a lot of wrestling related gifs and videos for the IWC passed away on Thursday.

He was only 25 or 26.

Nobody is really clear on how he passed away as some are saying it was due to a long illness, some are saying it was suicide and some are saying it was suicide because of his long illness (I'm guessing the illness was a terminal one).

So according to Matt Riddle's wife, Matt got his much-anticipated contract offer from New Japan and fully intended on signing it. He had to first notify Gabe Sapolsky, and after that Triple H then called him pretty much immediately to offer him a deal.

EVOLVE are on good terms with WWE of course, so it's no real surprise that Gabe wanted to give them a heads up. But this does paint a picture that his signing was more about keeping him away from the expanding NJPW than it was genuine interest in Matt.

Just like with their rumored interest and Pentagon and Fenix, they already have more toys than they know what to do with but would rather keep them all than let anyone else have them.

For a company that's supposedly worried about needing quality champs and matches for the Evolution PPV, the first two rumored matches pretty much are going in the opposite direction.

Rounda Rousey vs Nikki Bella is currently rumored to be the main event of the PPV.

Alexa Bliss vs Trish Stratus is the other high profile match rumored to be on the card.
