Is it just me or does it seem like Curt Hennig could have had an incredible face run at some point to go along with his incredible heel run(s)? It seems like when he beat Ric Flair in that "Loser Leaves WWF" match in '93, he was incredibly likable. At least for me as a 9 year old kid who helped make Hogan a star. I loved the guy. Then he turned heel on Marc Mero after that mini-feud with Hunter and never looked back. Seemed like there was some missed opportunity there.

I marked out so hard for his 2002 return in the Royal Rumble. Too bad his run was cut short by getting drunk and fighting Brock Lesnar on an airplane.

He was a face for that short run, right? It felt like he was at that point though where the company felt he was only good for jobbing to the new guys. Kinda like they did with HBK when he was "too old" despite the fact that he was still the best worker in the company even when he retired.
